LEICESTER CITY
Starting XI: 1 Schmeichel; 3 Chilwell, 15 Maguire, 5 Morgan, 18 Amartey (Ghezzal 62′); 23 Silva (Iborra 80′), 25 Ndidi; 7 Gray, 10 Maddison (Vardy 62′), 14 Pereira; 8 Iheanacho.
Loopsided 4-3-3 with both Maddison and Gray quite high as midfielder and Chilwell really high as a fullback as was evident during the match where he was a constant threat.
Current Status: Fairly unsettled
Risk Areas: Centre-back, central midfield, wingers, forward
LIVERPOOL
Starting XI: 13 Alisson: 66 Alexander-Arnold, 4 Van Dijk, 12 Gomez, 26 Robertson; 7 Milner, 5 Wijnaldum, 8 Keita: 11 Salah (Sturridge 88′), 9 Firmino (Henderson 69′), 10 Mane (Shaqiri 81′)
Both Salah and Mane have a higher position than Firmino and both fullbacks pushing a bit up in a normal 4-3-3. Expect to see lots of points from all.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Centre-back, central midfield
MANCHESTER CITY
Starting XI: 31 Ederson; 2 Walker, 5 Stones, 14 Laporte, 22 Mendy; 25 Fernandinho, 8 Gundogan, 20 Bernardo Silva; 26 Mahrez (De Bruyne 60′), 7 Sterling (Sane 86)’, 10 Aguero (Jesus 79′)
Sterling almost playing as a second striker with Mendy coming on lots of runs up. As usual Man City have several players changing positions and the midfield look quite narrow because of it, but is a loopsided 4-3-2-1
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Central midfield, attacking midfield, forward
MANCHESTER UNITED
Starting XI: De Gea; Shaw, Lindelof, Bailly, Darmian; Fred (McTominay 75′), Pogba (Fellaini 84′), A Pereira; Sanchez, Rashford (Lukaku 65′), Mata.
Current Status: Fairly unsettled
Risk Areas: Full-backs, central midfield, right wing, striker
NEWCASTLE UNITED
Starting XI: 12 Dubravka; 3 Dummett, 2 Clark, 6 Lascelles, 22 Yedlin; 15 Kenedy, 8 Shelvey, 10 Diame, 11 Ritchie (Atsu 67’); 17 Perez (Muto 80’), 21 Joselu (Rondon 57’)
4-2-3-1 with the rightside pushing a bit up and the left a bit defensive. Ritchie and Perez is really offensive and could see lot of action.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Right-back, centre half, striker
SOUTHAMPTON
Starting XI: 1 McCarthy; 6 Hoedt, 4 Vestergaard, 5 Stephens; 2 Soares (Elyounoussi 56′), 14 Romeu, 18 Lemina, 21 Bertrand; 17 Armstrong (Ings 56′), 22 Redmond; 10 Austin (Gabbiadini 72′)
A narrow 3-4-2-1 with Cedric not pushing up as much as expected (might be due to fitness) and Bertrand quite high. Redmond is like always quite high and will be a good pick if he can finish his chances.
Current Status: Fairly unsettled
Risk Areas: Attacking midfield, striker
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Starting XI: 1 Lloris; 33 Davies, 5 Vertonghen, 6 Sanchez, 24 Aurier; 17 Sissoko, 15 Dier (Amos 88’), 23 Eriksen; 27 Moura (Dembele 67’), 20 Alli (Son 80’); 10 Kane.
Typical Tottenham in a 4-1-4-1 with the backs pushing up and Dier laying deep. Interesting to see Eriksen is keeping on pushing higher then Alli.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Right-back, central midfield
WATFORD
Starting XI: 26 Foster; 2 Janmaat, 15 Cathcart, 27 Kabasele, 25 Holebas; 19 Hughes (Sema 81′), 16 Doucoure, 29 Capoue, 37 Pereyra (Femenia 81′); 18 Gray (Success 74)’, 9 Deeney
Again a loopsided formation as Watford is in a 4-4-2 with the left side pushing up and the right sitting back. Holebas would’ve been a good choice if he was nailed, while pereyra is a good choice as long as he can keep fit.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Central midfield, forwards, left back
WEST HAM UNITED
Starting XI: 1 Fabianski: 24 Fredericks, 4 Balbuena, 21 Ogbonna, 26 Masuaku; 41 Rice (Snodgrass 46′), 16 Noble, 19 Wilshere; 30 Antonio, 8 Anderson (Hernandez 62′), 7 Arnautovic (Yarmolenko 67′)
West Ham lined up quite defensively as they were more looking to keep Liverpool at bay and hope that Arnautovic could do some magic. Didn’t work out at all.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Left-back, central midfield, right wing
WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS
Starting XI: 11 Rui Patricio; 5 Bennett, 16 Coady, 15 Boly; 2 Doherty, 28 Moutinho (Gibbs-White 85′), 8 Neves, 19 Jonny (Vinagre 76′); 18 Jota, 9 Jimenez, 10 Costa (Bonatini 71′)
No real surprises here when Wolves comes in a 3-4-3, no real standouts from the positionmap.
Current Status: Fairly settled
Risk Areas: Centre-half, right-wing
